Swedish Universities look to promote their offerings to international students

The home of the furniture giant IKEA, Sweden, is now providing opportunities to furnish the futures of students as well. 24 Swedish universities are going to hold a virtual fair to promote and inform students of the study abroad opportunities available in Sweden.

Sweden is one of the most highly developed countries of the world, known for its stable political climate and export-oriented economy. Sweden also relies majorly on renewable fuel to power its grids and is one of the few countries that has a very high share of grid electricity being generated by renewable sources.

Moreover, the country has a developed educational framework, with excellent schools and top-notch universities. A particular benefit of studying in Sweden is the fact that students from a range of countries are exempt from paying any sort of fees. International students, however, do pay a fee. But Swedish universities offer a range of scholarships, for international students as well, so it would be worth it to check out the relevant webpage.

As the world grapples the pandemic, the virtual fair will enable students to interact and gain more information about life in Sweden, and what it is like to gain an education in such a multicultural and progressive society. With 7,500 students expected to register for the event, it will be an amazing opportunity to gain information about the 1000 bachelor and master programmes offered with the language of instruction being English at these universities.

Data has shown as well that the number of international students enrolling at Swedish universities has seen a rise in 2020-21, which is remarkable compared to the trend seen by other countries, where international students are still teetering on the edge over deferring their admissions or continuing with online studies.
