Express Entry System of Canada explained.

Express Entry System of Canada, which was first introduced in 2015 is now one of the most popular immigration systems worldwide. Express Entry System allows individuals and families to immigrate to Canada in just a few months.

The Express Entry is an online system that is used by the federal government of Canada to manage the applications of skilled workers for permanent residence and identifying which of them are eligible for the invite.

How does the Express Entry work?

Express Entry oversees Canada’s three main economic classes which are – the Federal Skilled Workers Program, The Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. ITA’s are issued to a certain number of top-ranked candidates in the Express Entry pools to apply for their permanent residence in the regular draws that usually takes place every two weeks and incorporates the vast majority of candidates from the three main economic classes managed by express entry.

In the process of selecting candidates to be invited for permanent residence, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score remains the top priority and the primary factor. The standard time that is taken for a permanent residence application filed through the Express Entry System to process takes around six months, as stated by the Government of Canada.

How to determine if you’re eligible?

Candidates should be eligible under any one of the Federal Skilled Workers Program, The Federal Skilled Trades Program, or the Canadian Experience Class program. Candidates are required to have at least one year of work experience, proficiency in either English or French, and should not have any criminal history or medical issues that might hinder their chances of getting accepted.

Creating an Express Entry Profile

Candidates must create their profile on the Express entry portal to be scored and ranked on the bases of their profile with other candidates in the pool.

Invitation to Apply

In draws conducted by the federal government every two weeks, Candidates are selected based on their CRS score and labor market requirement from the pool and are invited to apply for their permanent residence.

Applying for permanent residence

Candidates who receive ITAs have around 60 days to submit extensively detailed personal information and documents online, which are analyzed by the officials before providing the candidate with a permanent residence status.
