Canada: Biometric Instruction Letter Issued By IRCC Must To Schedule An Appointment

Starting December 17, 2021, the candidate must have a Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL) issued directly by IRCC to schedule an appointment using the Visa Application Centres (VACs) webform. To request an appointment, please submit a webform.

After submitting the webform online, the Visa Application Centre will schedule and confirm the appointment by email. You must have a confirmed appointment before going to the VAC in person.

Once a BIL is used to schedule an appointment, it cannot be used again.

If your BIL has expired, you can still request a biometric appointment. The VACs will accept your expired letter. There is no need to contact IRCC for a new letter.

The #Covid-19 travel restrictions to Canada are still in place. Kindly keep checking the IRCC website for more information before you go.
