Canada: Record Number Of Applications Received For The 2021 Parents And Grandparents Program

In 2021, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) received a record number of applications for the 2021 Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP), allowing more Canadians and permanent residents to bring their family members to Canada than ever before.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that must not be squandered. The method applications for the 2021 PGP are being received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is different from prior years.

Individuals who were already in the pool of potential sponsors and had filed a desire to sponsor form in 2020 were randomly selected and invited. Between September 23 and October 4, these invites were distributed through email or, if that was not possible, by mail.

If you filed an interest to sponsor form in 2020 and have yet to get an invitation, check your email account, including your spam/junk folders, for correspondence from IRCC. “Parents and Grandparents Program Invitation/ L’invitation à présenter une demande dans le cadre du Programme des parents et des grands-parents – CPCM/ CTDM” is the subject line of the email sent by IRCC to candidates who have been invited.

If you have been invited to apply, you must submit your application online within 60 days of receiving your invitation, together with all supporting papers such as income tax records, civil status documents, and other relevant information.

As a result, time is of the essence, and the window for submitting your application will close soon. It might be tough to grasp the complexities and subtleties of an immigration application. You may be concerned about meeting the PGP eligibility criteria, providing accurate information, and not overlooking a criterion in order to increase the likelihood of your application being approved. An expert immigration lawyer can assist you in navigating the application procedure and avoiding mistakes that could result in unfavorable consequences.

If you did not obtain a PGP 2021 invitation, the Super Visa may be an option for you. Super Visas are temporary visiting visas that can last up to ten years and allow your parents and grandparents to visit Canada.
