Contentholic, India’s premier SOP Writing Agency, specializes in Canada Study Visa Refusal Cases. Its SOP writing staff handles around 1-20 applications each day for students who have had their Canada Study Visa denied and are trying to build a strong visa LOE (Letter of Explanation or Justification Letter).
For more than two decades, Canada has been one of the most popular studies abroad destinations among major Study Abroad Consultants in India and Asia, with the number of applications increasing year after year.
Following Covid-19, multiple lockdowns and travel restrictions hampered visa application handling, since candidates continued to apply online even when the offices were entirely closed.
Aside from the students that received AIP, a large number of new applicants sought a Canadian Study Permit. There were a significant number of students whose applications were denied, and they even re-applied as a new application, which further slowed application processing due to a vast backlog of applications.
A senior SOP Consultant and the proprietor of Contentholic (Content & SOP Writing Services), Suneet Kumar Singh, revealed his experience with the September 2021 intake, in which thousands of rejections came in every single day as the intake approached in August. His SOP writing service was receiving more than 20 applications per day from persons who had been denied a Canadian Study Permit Visa.
Canadian Study Consultants and Visa Processing Agencies have accused IRCC of the increased number of rejections based on the applicant’s profile. They stated that people with strong academic credentials and a high IELTS band were turned down.
Suneet, on the other hand, has indicated that 95 per cent of the cases received by his agency had issues with their SOP for Canada Student Visa. Leading Canadian Education Consultants have also neglected Visa SOP writing where the candidate’s profile was solid, resulting in these greater rejection percentages.
Usually, Study Abroad Consultants encourage students to prepare their Visa Statement of Purpose (Visa SOP), but because they are unfamiliar with the requirements, they frequently copy-paste the write-ups from Visa SOP Samples available on the internet.
Someone who is aware of plagiarism or has been told by the consultant to avoid utilizing copied-pasted text from the internet should attempt to compose their own work without plagiarizing. However, these applicants frequently fail to present their profiles strongly, with proper chronology and tone. They do not articulate why they desire to pursue higher education in Canada or what the outcomes of the suggested course will be. They also fail to define their future job goals and how this course will help them achieve them.
The lack of clarity, vision, and purpose is frequently cited as the primary cause for the SOP’s lack of plagiarism. Further common causes for rejection include a lower IELTS band, worse academic achievements, financial insecurity, and a lack of strong ties to return to India. Another critical aspect is the course’s applicability to your past academic or professional experience.
According to data provided by Consultants and Agencies, the rejection rate for the Canadian Study Permit was as high as 60%. After the September intake closed, the processing of study visa applications became slow again; the immigration agency may be busy with other processes because everything became slow-paced after the pandemic.
According to a prominent SOP writing firm in India, some of the candidates who filed for the study visa have been waiting for their results for more than 60 days. To prevent delays, students who have received their acceptance letter should apply for their study visa permit through the SDS category as soon as possible.
The rejection ratio for the January 2022 intake was the same as it was for the September 2022 intake last year, and these students are now planning to apply for the May or September 2022 intake.
