Read on to learn about these seven countries that allow fully vaccinated Indian citizens to travel to their country.
United Kingdom
The United Kingdom has recently announced the removal of all testing requirements for eligible fully vaccinated travellers, following the success of booster programmes and vaccinations. Reports have it that the new rule will come into effect from February 11, 4 AM.
The United Kingdom is further allowing entry to those who have not been vaccinated yet. However, those who are not vaccinated and are willing to travel to England, will now only need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before the second day after arriving in England. Do note that all passengers will be required to complete a Passenger Locator Form.
Thailand
There is good news for all those wishing to travel to Thailand in 2022. If the latest reports are to go by, Thailand is all set to resume a quarantine-free travel scheme for international travellers from February 1. Revealing more about this, officials in the know-how stated that after the said programme was suspended due to rise in Omicron cases, the tourism-dominated economy of the region suffered a lot.
Reportedly, fully vaccinated travellers will now be able to enter the country under the Test and Go Scheme, and will be required to undergo Covid tests on the first and fifth days after arriving.
Singapore
The Government of Singapore has recently announced easing certain travel restrictions. As per the updated rules, vaccinated travellers with mild symptoms, could isolate for seven days instead of the previously mandated 10 days, whereas children will be allowed to recover at home.
The country has also waived testing measures and scrapped mandatory tests for vaccinated passengers. As such, vaccinated travellers, who have recently recovered from Covid-19, will no longer be required to undergo any testing.
Cyprus
The Government of Cyprus has announced that it will lift all travel restrictions on vaccinated travellers in March. Given the current situation, vaccinated travellers with a valid vaccination certificate, including boost shot certificate, will no longer face entry requirements from March 1.
The Cyprus Tourism Minister recently made this announcement. As of now, the travel rules that apply for travellers are either to show their negative RT-PCR test report or self-quarantine upon arrival.
Do note that vaccine certificates, without proof of a booster shot, will be accepted in case nine months haven’t passed since they received their second dose.
Vietnam
As of January 1, all travellers entering from abroad, must either be fully vaccinated or have proof that they have recovered from the Coronavirus. Referring to this, the country’s Health Ministry informed that the travellers also must be tested for the virus ahead of flying, and undergo three days of quarantine in hotels or at their homes, and undergo a PCR test.
Further, those who test negative, will be required to closely monitor their health for two weeks. Also, all those who want to travel to the country for family or business reasons but lack the required documents, will need to seek approval from government officials.
Israel
Israel announced the lifting of travel restrictions for all countries earlier in January. The government stated that travel restrictions were futile in preventing the spread of the virus. As per the reports, vaccinated travellers from former ‘Red’ list countries (which were then moved to Orange) will be required to undergo quarantine for 24 hours after arriving in Israel, or until they get a negative Covid-19 test result.
Further, fully vaccinated travellers from countries on the orange or red list, will only be required to undergo a rapid antigen test. As per the reports, the latest travel rules apply to vaccinated and those who have recently recovered from Covid-19.
